EQT CHILDREN'S THEATER FESTIVAL

Educator Information

Make the Festival experience fun and easy for your field trip! Learn more about bus pick up and drop off locations, lunch areas, and activities for your group

Bus Information

  • Drop-Off – Your group can be dropped off at the theater of your first ticketed performance. Performance venues include the Trust Arts Education Center (805 Liberty Avenue), the Byham Theater (101 6th Street), the August Wilson Center (980 Liberty Avenue) and 7th Street and Penn Avenue. Drop off arrangements must be made in advance with the Festival Group Sales department.
  • Pick-Up – End-of-day Festival bus pickup is on Ft. Duquesne Boulevard between 6th and 9th Streets.

Lunch Information

  • There will be multiple indoor spaces for your group to eat lunch while at the Festival. Please contact the Festival Group Sales Department in advance to help determine the best location based on availability and your group's schedule.
  • Limited outdoor seating is also available throughout the festival grounds in the Cultural District on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Food is available for purchase throughout the Cultural District. The best of Pittsburgh’s Food Trucks will be on site throughout the week. Each day’s offerings will vary. Find a list of Food Truck vendors and kid-friendly restaurants here. 

Featured Performance & Activities Information

  • All seating is General Admission and offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. A Partner Seating section is offered at the front of the theater for all performances. Become a Partner today!
  • Holding or saving seats is not permitted.
  • The Festival footprint is all within walking distance. Featured performances and programming take place in a variety of spaces and venues. Please be prepared to be outside. All Festival featured ticketed performances occur rain or shine. Some outdoor Festival activities may be canceled due to inclement weather.
  • All Festival activities and venues are handicap accessible, ASL interpreters are available, and audio description devices are available upon request (2 weeks prior to the show date). For more information, visit our Accessibility Page.
