This is an all ages drop in workshop based on curriculum that was developed during O'Ryan the O'Mazing's 2019 FINE artist residency at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh.
This workshop uses the fundamentals of clowning, physical theater, and circus skills to help each child unlock their own unique sense of character. Together, we explore emotions, identity, and problems by becoming a clown, and tackling failure head on, engaging the unique abilities and interests of each child.
Together we get to experience and learn juggling, plate spinning, improvisational physical theater, and what it means to be a clown while having fun, working as a team, and building a discipline of practice.
Games and exercises teach focus and strength, while helping students to embrace their inner clown, making this workshop a unique and empowering experience for children of all ages.
